Favorite pic in one of the many Night Markets. Express-please let me be your ambassador! Also, fanny packs are clutch.

After 14 hours (from LAX), I finally reached Taipei!

I met Toots at the Novetel Hotel near the airport where she stayed for the night. We promptly ate “breakfast” π

We took the MRT from the airport hotel to downtown Taipei. These cutesie characters are everywhere! This is in one of the subway stops.

We stayed at the Roaders Hotel for 3 nights. It has an Old American West theme. Definitely recommend. All you can eat ramen and snacks, and all you can drink milk tea! Nom nom. π

The Taiwanese people are very cheeky. Also, you actually can’t put paper down the toilet…didn’t understand that the first time π

After settling into Roaders, we took the subway to Longshan Temple, a very famous temple.

There were many people praying to their different gods. You could purchase food and flowers as offerings to them.

I found Drogon!! He is hanging out in the temple! They love dragons here. Unlike those evil Westeroses

We stumbled onto one of the many night markets, where they sell food and trinkets.

We strolled along and found this gorgeous temple tucked away in the market.

One of those most famous dishes in this market is snake soup.

Toots and I wanted to rescue the snake food π

Did the snakes and mice make you hungry?! Needless to say, we did not eat the snake soup. We ate at Hot Pot instead, where you cook up your own bowls (very confusing and hard because there are no instructions in English). I got the famous beef noodles.
